I checked that webpage and looked at the performance ratings for the 2002 Yamaha 50 HP 2 stroke with a Sylvan Excursion 1600 SC. THis is similar to my setup ( Sylvan explorer 1600 with 2006 50 HP yamaha). The performance results again show that at 3000 RPM I should expect speeds in around the 8 -10 MPH range and at 30 MPH plus in the 5500 RPM.

2008 Yamaha 50Hp 2 stroke carb leaks. The carb on my 50HP 2 Stroke motor leaks gas from the lower carb. The motor has run less than 5 hour total and less than 1 hour since service in 2010. I have rebuilt auto carb, and I have mechanical and electronic abilities; would I be over-my-head by trying to rebuilt the carb?
